my name is Ava Pym and according to everyone else I am an artist, though too much weight feels like it comes with that word sometimes; I always associate my being under that word to be one that takes up space, but takes up space with the power to address the lack of such.

I grew up in rural Alberta nearby a place called half moon lake. I guess I always romanticized the name to try and fill the blandness of my landscape. being in the city is different, we moved out in 2011 and I haven't lived in the country since, perhaps I should go back; sometimes where I am now is too claustrophobic, the open expanse may be needed more than I know.
